Submission of Papers

MELECON 2010  will host a special session on "Smartgrids - Electricity Networks of the Future".

Prospective authors interested in the Smartgrids special session should send an abstract to Marko Delimar (m.delimar@ieee.org) by 20 October 2009. Full papers are due 26 October 2009 (regular conference submission deadline). All papers will go through MELECON submission procedure and peer review and will be printed in the Conference proceedings. Due to a limited number of papers in the Special session, some papers may be presented in regular sessions. Author instructions and other related information can be found on http://www.melecon2010.org.

MELECON 2010 - topics of interest

The topics of interest include but are not limited to:

• Communication and Information Technologies: Wireless and mobile communications, intelligent networks, sensor and ad hoc networks, optical system and networks, multimedia transmission, distributed video coding, multiview, MIMO systems, OFDM, space-time coding, quality of service, antennas and propagation, microwave theory and techniques, etc.
• Circuits and Systems: Analog and digital integrated circuits, artificial neural networks, systems on chip, MEMS, RF and microwave circuits and systems, electronic instrumentation, optoelectronics, etc.
• Control Systems and Signal Processing:Modern control techniques, control applications, robotics, biomedical signal and image processing, speech and audio, multimedia signal processing, image processing, adaptive and non-adaptive filtering, computer vision, etc.
• Power Systems and Renewable Resources: Power generation, transmission, distribution and utilization, renewable electricity production, power electronics, multi-level converters, adjustable speed drives, electrical vehicle drives, high performance drives, electrical machines design and monitoring, etc.
